Welcome to Redwine Church
Rooted in and shaped by a living tradition, we are part of the new creation in Christ which God is bringing into existence. Therefore, we are committed to: The worship of the Triune God. The Holy Scriptures as the basis for our faith and activity. Unity with other believers in Christ. Total stewardship of life, including tithing of time, talents, and money. Excellence in education and equipping leaders for tomorrow. Loving and caring for one another and for other people. Spreading the Gospel to all parts of the world. Evaluating and changing church structures and priorities in order to meet the challenges of the future while preserving the best of the past. To this end and in humble reliance upon the enabling power of the Holy Spirit, we covenant together to pray steadfastly that God will open doors of opportunity so that we may declare the riches of Christ.
Mission Trip to the Philippines - 2025

History of Redwine Church
Established in 1789

Location: 3548 Redwine Church Rd., Canon,GA 30520
Text of marker: "REDWINE CHURCH". Redwine Church was apparently founded prior to 1800 & named after Jacob R. Redwine, Revolutionary soldier born in Pa. who moved here from N.C. This is the 4th church, built in 1906. The first was a log cabin several hundred yards west near the old cemetery in which lies Maj. Nathaniel Durkee, hero of the Revolutionary Battle of Kettle Creek. Lorenzo Dow noted Methodist preacher, once spoke here. Laid in & about this Church are many scenes in "The Circuit Rider's Wife" by Corra Harris, wife of Rev. Lundy Harris, who was preacher here in 1887 when he married.
The memorial window in the back of the church was given in memory of Eliza and Lavonia Cunningham. These virtuous women were faithful to the church and community by performing many helpful services to them. They were responsible for the attractive appearance of the church interior.

Redwine Youth Program
Here at Redwine Church, we want to expand into the community as we begin a new journey as a church. Our collective idea is to build a church known as a spirtual community care center. We want to offer youth programs starting in May 2025. The plan is to begin with Wednesday night meetings at the church, from 6:00 to 7:30. The evening will include fun, food and a Bible lesson.
The Youth Director is a retired teacher from the Hart County School system He was an assistant football and basketball coach.
Our goal is to encourage youth to know God's Word, develop a relationship with Jesus Christ and become active in the church community.
Our primary goal is to reach the youth of our local community for Jesus Christ! We encourage our youth to use their talents, in singing, playing an instrument, etc. to enrich our services.

Join us from 6:00 to 7:30 each
Wednesday evening, beginning June 4th, 2025

Current Mission Projects
Philipine Mission - Three dedicated members of Redwine Church embarked on a transformative mission trip to the Philippines. Their journey focused on funding and drilling a well to provide clean water, a twelve month stipend for the new pastor, and material for the church roof. Redwine Church's goal is to uplift and support the planting of a new church. Redwine fosters hope and faith in every step they take. Stay tuned for updates on their inspiring mission.
At Redwine Church, we are thrilled to share the wonderful efforts of Redwine's Men's Club. A lady in the community needed a new window, and house painted. The Men's Club installed the window, pressure washed and painted her house. These improvements were made possible through the donations received by the Samaritan Mission, showcasing the power of giving and community support. Thank you for helping us make a difference!
At Redwine, our mission is to support the elderly and sick in our community by helping them avoid city tickets for unkempt lawns. We collaborate with local code enforcers to identify those in genuine need, ensuring they receive the assistance they deserve. Under the leadership of Tony McCollum, our initiative is fueled by generous donations to Redwine's Local Mission. Together, we can make a positive impact and enhance the quality of life for those who need it most.
Thank you for your interest in supporting Redwine's missions! If you'd like to make a donation, please take a moment to explore our donation section below. Your contribution will help us continue our important work and make a difference in our community missions and Phiippine Mission.
